I think I just died a little inside. This is such a beautiful piece {like everything else you do} the sorrow it evokes is overwhelming. I rarely have such a response to art like I have to this one...

A fantastic piece, I like this sketchy yet detailed style, it makes it look very epic! :D

He looks so sad... and the blues look kinda watery, so I'm imagining rain... and a mournful tune. :tears:

Beautifully done, as always.

Thank you
(Gah, I missed you (and your art)! :tears:)
these scheduled submissions do the trick fairly well :D

You know, at some point in time when drawing him I was actually becoming quite wary of Itachi looking way too feminine for my liking, but then I remembered canon... And then it weren't so drastic as I initially feared it could have been :phew:

So I decided that perhaps he's just still in his teens in this particular setting...

(Also, do I have to say the obvious :ashamed: - now that I've created my viewpoint of his musical instrument, I'd absolutely love to see your glockenspiel interpretation! :la:
Mainly because I can hear the rain through the glockenspiel, the hidden Amegakure quarters and Konan :pointl: oh no, that was completely unnecessary, just my rants going further into the scene, as per usual ^^;)

Itachi on the panpipes. I wouldn't have guessed it, but it fits, and very well, at that. The panpipes aren't as bulky as most instruments; they can be hidden away quite easily, and that corresponds to a number of aspects of Itachi, in both his personality and his lifestyle. Moreover, they can sound quite mournful, in a very old manner, if played correctly, and mixing that with the background you used... very nice.

Fun Fact: panpipes were originally known for they're use by the god Pan, from whom we get the word panic, because he would jump out from behind bushes and scare people by... playing the panpipes. Now, I can't imagine Itachi doing that (funny as the idea may be), but it's still a fun little fact to note. (Note: this may or may not be accurate. I've tried to find the original version of the tale that I was told, but to no avail. It makes sense, but we all know that that's no guarantee of truth, especially in ancient myth.)

...At least they weren't bagpipes, though the panic motif may have fit better in that case.
